Edmonton Funded Services

Kindred Kids holds vendor status with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).  With your funding from FSCD, Kindred Kid can provide:

  • Developmental/ Behaviorial Aide Program (DBA)

    • Developmental/Behavioural Aide support programs are focused on 3-5 goals at a time, typically in one main area (i.e., behaviour, anxiety etc).

    • Programs are typically 4 hours of professional support/month and 9 hours of aide time/week, over 6 months. We do not provide aides. Depending on your funding, our programs are typically one to two professionals and a behaviour therapist.

    • At the 5 month mark, a meeting will be held to determine next steps. This may include: transition to another provider, ending of services or continuation with Kindred Kids.

  • Coordination for Family run Specialized Services  (SS) Programs

    • Coordinating a SS team is done by a professional such as an SLP, OT or Psychologist. Coordination includes: compiling and updating the ISP; coordinating family meetings; communication with FSCD; support to aide if required.

  • Psychology and Behavior Therapist consultation for DBA, SS or family run programs

    • We consult with other Edmonton and Calgary Agencies who provide SS and DBA programs.

    • We can consult to Family run SS programs and can direct bill FSCD.

  • Counselling

    • Counselling is typically provided in the psychologist’s office, but can be done in home. Please talk to us about your options.

      • In Calgary, Jennifer Mitchell, R.Psychologist’s can be accessed centrally in Kensington or Varsity NW and in Inglewood at Serenity Now Wellness

Kindred Kids is not a respite/community aide provider, nor do we have aides.
